This item is a hand carved by the artists of Tabaka Chigware in the Kisii region of Kenya. Tabaka was established to eradicate suffering and provide an opportunity for a better quality of life by providing fair wages and the ability to market products outside of Kenya.
This item is intended for decorative use. While it is food-safe, getting it wet could damage the dye. This item would be ideal for holding change, jewelry or other small knick-knacks.
This is a brand new item. The base of the item is shaved at an angle which causes the bowl to have a slanted appearance (lower in the front and higher in the back). Please see the photos provided for the best representation of condition.
