These coasters are hand-woven by Zapotec Indians in small villages around the Oaxacan Valley of Southern Mexico. They are 100% wool that is spun and carded by hand, and then dyed in large pots over open fires. Colors are created from vegetable and aniline dyes.
The body of the coasters measure about 4.75" square, not including the fringes on the ends. All measurements are approximate to the nearest 1/4", actual item may be slightly smaller or larger than stated.
